Kelp Reef Adventures
Today I did the 2 hour Kayak tour and I was more than impressed with Kelp Reef Adventures. We were met at the booth by Courtney who went above and beyond to make sure my mom and I felt welcome. He even helped us plan a trip to Sooke for the following day which was so helpful and kind! Brandon was our guide out on the water and he was fantastic! We got an informative tour of the area, history facts, a lesson on kelp (which tasted pretty good!) And an added bonus of seeing seals and their pups! I would HIGHLY recommend this adventure to anyone who wants a fun time out on the water!

10/10 recommend booking with this company. The owners and staff are so friendly and dedicated to your group. Plus the knowledge they have, the views and the experience in general was amazing. I had a LARGE school group and they just made it special for each kid and were so easy to work with. I will be returning next year!

Just had an exquisite tour today with my young daughter. Got to to see the baby seals, see the harbour from a new perspective, and learn all sorts of things from our superstar guide, Matt. He was *fantastic* with everyone on the tour. Would definitely recommend and repeat.

What a nice adventure to explore around Vancouver by kayak. Austin, our tour guide was great, very friendly, very knowledgeable of the city. It is was a great experience, I do recommend to go with a tour as the water is very choppy and there is a lot of traffic(water taxi, ferry, airplanes). Kayaks are on great shape!

We booked a 2 hr kayaking tour and had an amazing time! I was a bit nervous at first being a beginner kayaker but our guide Mitch took the time to explain things well and was a wealth of knowledge of the history of the area as well as the wildlife / ecological systems of Victoria. Seeing downtown Victoria from the water gives you a different perspective of how beautiful the city is but my favourite part was watching the seals sunbathing on the rocks. We had a blast and would not hesitate to recommend Kelp Reef Adventures and our guide Mitch. Thank you!!

Staff was extremely knowledgeable, chill, and wholesome. Kayak was well maintained. Saw a teenage Orca hunting seals about 50 ft away from once, a real once in a lifetime experience. Will never forget it, highly recommended this company.

Kelp Reef was able to help knock an item off my bucket list and for that I am super grateful. They were very flexible, especially at the last minute, and Austin and Mitch arranged an after hours tour for us so we were able to get this done in the very short amount of time we had in Victoria. They were knowledgeable and gave us all sorts of cool information about Victoria and the harbor. I am hoping we can make it back one day and spend more time there. Would highly recommend this company.

Great kayak visit around the limits of the outer harbour and the inner harbour. With the winds, ferries and plane traffic, it was challenging at times, but a fun adventure. Our guide was great. Worth a visit, whether visiting or a local who wants to a different view of the Victoria/Esquimalt waterfront. Don't forget the kelp talk during your tour!

Excellent guide (Robert I think), we saw seals, sea urchins, a purple starfish, lots of birds, kelp, seaweed, crabs.Kayaks were pretty stable and comfy, anti splash skirts were a nice touch. Still got a little wet but nowhere near as bad as I would've been without.Went during low tide, guide did say it was better since it exposed more sea animals.3h definitely did not feel like too long, but 2h would've felt short. Recommend getting the longer one

Fantastic way to spend a few hours! Had so much fun learning how to kayak and learning about wildlife/things around the harbour! The staff were super friendly and knowledgeable! If I'm back I'll be visiting them again! Saw lots of seals and black oystercatcher birds!
